MEET DR. DAVID GALLAGHER

Dr. David L. Gallagher is a graduate of Pacific University in Forest Grove Oregon, where he earned his degree in 1974.  Dr. Gallagher has been practicing in Modesto since 1977 and is experienced in family vision care, contact lenses, and Lasik co-management.  He is also TPA certified.  He takes special care to ensure that each patient receives personalized care and that each question or concern is addressed.
   Dr. Gallagher is an active member of the Modesto Sunrise Rotary Club since 1987,  helping developing countries by giving the gift of sight.  His main interest in Rotary is in the area of international service.  The first international service trip that he took was in 1986 to provide free eyecare in a remote village in Mexico.  Dr. Gallagher just completed trip number 61, which was to Romania, as part of a $300,000.00 grant from the Rotary Foundation to help the orphaned and abandoned children of Romania.

   Rotary International awarded Dr. Gallagher with the Service Above Self Award in 2002.  Dr. Gallagher was one of only 150 Rotarians that were selected out of the 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide to receive this very prestigious award.  He also has received the Four Avenues of Service Award from Rotary International and has been honored twice with Foundation Service Awards from District 5220.
